The International Diamond Week
The International Diamond Week
Occurring February 5th through the 7th of 2018, the famed International Diamond Week, held by the Israel Diamond Exchange, took place. The 7th annual interactive diamond show included a rich and high-quality selection of diamonds for sale, as well as polished and rough diamond tenders. As stated by IDWI Chairman Ezra Bloom, “The International Diamond Week is a wonderful opportunity to spotlight the amazing jewelry collections being created by our bourse members”.
With the main theme of the show being the role of new technology in upgrading the diamond industry, the International Diamond Week included hundreds of buyers from around the world participating. This year was truly exceptional because of the plethora of stunning and beautiful diamonds sold at a discounted and minimal cost. A perk not seen in previous years of the show was the offering of a free three night stay at a local hotel, for all registered participants. According to IDE President Yoram Dvash, “Jewelry manufacturing is a natural complement to our core business. Many of our members have created remarkable jewelry lines, sold successfully the world over. This is another example of the dynamism and ingenuity of our industry”.
The main goal of The International Diamond Week was to merge business and pleasure together as one. Held inside the Israel Diamond Exchange massive trading hall, the International Diamond Week included 250 diamond companies from around the world showcasing their wonderful selection of sparkling diamonds. Trading took place Monday through Wednesday of the show, while Thursday was dedicated to individual meetings. The International Diamond Week also included a festive closing party on the last day, as well as several evening events that were focused on fun, festivities, and celebration. The goal of the International Diamond Week this year was to surpass all previous years in terms of fun, excitement, and an increased amount of business opportunities.
